Darren Day snaps up role in 'The Bill'

Actor Darren Day is to make a guest appearance in ITV1 police drama The Bill.

The former I'm A Celebrity contestant will play photographer Jeff Slade, who is arrested on suspicion of murdering a model. The victim, Maria Samuels, will be played by Naomi Millbank-Smith, who is currently a contestant on Channel 4’s Shipwrecked.

Coincidentally, as exclusively revealed by DS last month, his former fiancée Suzanne Shaw is to make a cameo appearance in the drama two months earlier as a woman involved in a car accident.

Darren, who was declared bankrupt in October, begins filming this month, with his episode scheduled to broadcast in August.
