Prior to the near-miss, Scott - who currently plays DS Phil Hunter in the ITV police drama - was shooting a scene in which he had to quickly park a car and then run off.
However, an unscripted lorry came hurtling toward the car and clipped the driver's door where the 36-year-old actor was standing only moments before.
A Sun Hill source told The Sun: "Scott could have been a goner. He's a very lucky chap."
A spokeswoman for the show today told DS: "No-one was hurt during the on-location accident and there was very limited damage to the car. Health and safety ramifications have been looked into and no further action will be taken."
Earlier this month, EastEnders bosses successfully snapped up Scott at the end of his Bill contract to play Max Branning's (Jake Wood) brother, Jack, in the Walford soap.
