227: PC Andrea Dunbar feels the heat
The heat is on for PC Andrea Dunbar as she struggles to conceal her true identity. She manages to swipe an article written by her from DS Samantha Nixon’s case file into the investigation of the serial rapist. But panic sets in when a journalist comes to the station to interview the new face of Sun Hill, PC Lance Powell. She thinks that he might have blown her cover, but she discovers he has been sent by her editor to put the screws on her – either she coughs up some juicy copy or her cover will be blown. Will Andrea start delivering the goods?

PC Jim Carver decides to follow his heart and propose to Sergeant June Ackland following advice given to him by a clairvoyant whose crystal ball is reported stolen. Jim gets down on one knee by June’s bedside and asks for her hand in marriage. Will the love of his life say yes?

Elsewhere Lance investigates a homophobic hate crime, which seems to have been perpetrated by PC Sheelagh Murphy’s son Conor. The lad is brought into custody, and Sheelagh persuades Lance not to broadcast his identity. Will the ‘new face of Sun Hill’ get in trouble with Superintendent Adam Okaro? However Lance also has issues with the Super for telling the journalist he is gay, as his mother doesn’t know. Is Lance about to be publicly outed?

PC Steve Hunter and PC Cameron Tait stumble across the dead body of a young hooligan with whom PC Gabriel Kent has previously had dealings …

Meanwhile Gabriel smugly admits to Cameron that he raped PC Kerry Young, and that there’s nothing Cameron can do about it. How will Cameron get his revenge?
