236: June prepares for her big day

As Sergeant June Ackland prepares for her wedding day, PC Gabriel Kent’s sinister shadow looms over the celebrations. Sun Hill’s dark angel turns up on June’s doorstep on her wedding morning and suggests that her marriage to DC Jim Carver is a sham.

Swayed by Gabriel’s manipulative words, June finds herself responding when he moves in for a kiss. Horrified by her actions and Gabriel’s sneering taunts, June is left to face her wedding day in the knowledge that it could be over before the night is out.

Groom-to-be DC Jim Carver’s past also catches up with him when ex-wife Marie Carver makes a drunken appearance and accuses June of being a home wrecker. Is the wedding that has been 21-years in the making, set to end in a day?

Elsewhere, cupid’s arrow lands on PC Reg Hollis and SRO Marilyn Chambers but things aren’t quite as rosy for the indomitable Inspector Gina Gold and CPS lawyer Jonathan Fox.
