289: Sun Hill is up in flames

Sun Hill station is up in flames, seemingly in a terrorist attack… PC Gabriel Kent leaves PC Andrea Dunbar to burn in the fire which also destroys all evidence she has against him. On his way out Gabriel finds Sergeant Dale Smith trapped in the carnage. Will Gabriel leave Smithy to burn too, or will he seize this opportunity to be hailed as golden boy?

DC Ken Drummond was in the van when it blew and stood no chance of survival… The relief are devastated when the news is broken, particularly his good mate DC Jim Carver who realises that his life lies with wife Sergeant June Ackland. But she is being comforted by another. How will Jim cope with the discovery that June is having an affair?

Meanwhile SRO Marilyn Chambers lies in a hospital bed fighting for her life. In a tragic reconstruction of his intended proposal heartbroken PC Reg Hollis slips an engagement ring onto her finger. Moments later the cardiac monitor lets out an ominous beep. Is Marilyn going to make it?
