DI Neil Manson (Andrew Lancel) and DS Max Carter (Christopher Fox) work together when the gruesome discovery of 17-year-old Ashley Simmon's body is made.

After cross words at Sun Hill, the pair head to the children’s home where she had been reported missing. There, Ashley's foster mother Francis Baines (Claire Hackett) is distraught to hear that she was killed by a gunshot to the heart.
