S02E13: 'There's Something About a War'

Susan's new love interest, Dr. Ron Berman, informs her that she needs surgery on her spleen but she isn't so keen on the idea when she learns that Dr. Ron will be performing the operation – especially when she discovers that he's never performed spleen surgery before.

Carlos has become so hung up on the idea of having children that when Gabrielle can't promise that she will give birth to his child, he seeks guidance from Sister Mary Bernard. Gabrielle and her arch enemy finally come to blows when Gabrielle learns that Sister Mary has been filling Carlos's head with the idea of annulling their marriage.

Gabrielle and Carlos finally reach a crossroads in their marriage - will they both take the same route?

Lynette struggles with her latest advertising campaign and calls on Tom's expertise. The brainstorming process gets Tom's juices flowing, re-igniting his passion for ad campaign work. An ad executive position arises at Lynette's agency and the inevitable happens – Tom decides to apply as he is still bitter about Lynette standing in the way of his previous chances of promotion.

Lynette's obstruction attempts fail miserably when her boss, Ed Ferrara, takes a shine to Tom. Will Tom be able to compromise with Lynette and forget about the past? More importantly, will their already pressured marriage survive while working at close quarters?

Bree gets the shock of her life when she finds Matthew Applewhite half naked in Danielle's bedroom. A doorstep confrontation with Betty leaves Bree speechless and Danielle less than impressed with her mother's actions. Bree receives another jolt when she spots Caleb in the upstairs bedroom window of the Applewhite residence - recognising him as the person who escaped the psychiatric ward and the police following Gabrielle's accident.

Danielle, however, meets with Matthew where they both exchange family secrets – ultimately putting both Betty and Bree on an equal footing. The pair quickly realise that they have more in common than they thought…

Betty uses the information she holds to her advantage, silencing Bree in the process – blab about Caleb's existence and the police, Gabrielle and Carlos will all discover the truth behind Juanita Solis's death…
