S02E14: 'Silly People'

After starting his new job at the ad agency, Tom struggles to win over his boss, Ed Ferrera, to any of his ideas – or even as a friend. Tom turns to Lynette to help him out, but when she refuses to support him, Tom decides to take matters into his own hands. Tom is surprised when he stumbles across common ground with Ed, but it's not necessarily what he had expected… When things get slightly out of control Tom soon finds himself eating a doughnut out of the toilet much to Lynette's disgrace. How far will Lynette go to protect her husband's interests?

Gabrielle returns home to find Carlos moving Chinese girl Xiao-Mei into their house. After an incident with one of her dresses, Gabrielle realises Xiao-Mei's potential influence in the Solis household. Gabrielle embarks on a mission to ensure Xiao-Mei stays where she belongs for both their sakes. Will Xiao-Mei remain on Wisteria Lane or will she be whisked back to China with the church?

Susan finds herself in a position where she has to raise the funds for her spleen operation. Edie, Karl and Susan put their heads together in a bid to come up with the solution to Susan's cash problems – or at least gain a health plan. Edie decides that the only way Susan will be able to acquire cover at such short notice is to get married. It isn't long before Edie finds Susan the 'perfect man' to marry. When the sham wedding doesn't go to plan, Karl makes Susan an offer she can't refuse.

Susan and Edie confront Bree about her friendship with Betty Applewhite, but she soon dismisses their inquisitive minds. Bree later has cross words with Danielle about her dealings with the Applewhites. As soon as Betty and Matthew leave their house, Bree takes it upon herself to 'check' the premises with the spare key she was entrusted with by the previous owners. Caleb is stunned to find Bree wandering around the house, but her questions still result in a trip down memory lane for Caleb…

Later, Betty's emotional past comes flooding back as she and Bree have a heart to heart.

Meanwhile, Noah Taylor receives a letter from an anonymous source placing another piece in the puzzle of his daughter Deirdre's death. Mike is later approached by Detective Sullivan to let him know that Noah wants to see him – and Zach - as a face from the past looks on…
