S02E21: 'I Know Things Now'

Edie hires a private detective to spy on Susan and it's Mike who breaks the news to her. Susan tries to wriggle out of the situation but realises she is in too deep. Susan has to raise double Edie's fees in order for the detective to destroy the evidence. Susan also tries her hardest to retrieve a confession letter from Gus the postman but to no avail. Edie soon decides to take matter into her own hands.

Lynette breaks the news to Tom that Ed is planning on firing him. Tom doesn't take the news well but Lynette urges him to stay on the right side of Ed and not to step out of line. In the office, Ed makes every effort to annoy Tom. Despite Lynette's advise, Tom takes the bait and hits back – literally.

That night, Ed shows Lynette some disturbing proof in Tom's expenses which points to Lynette's worst nightmare.

Bree finally reaches what looks like a turning point in their relationship. She invites Peter, along with Andrew's boyfriend Justin, over for supper. Danielle, however, has other ideas and starts playing footsie with her mother's love interest in an attempt to spur on his sex addiction. The following day, Andrew follows through with his threat to do something terrible to his mother. Unfortunately for Andrew it results in drastic consequences.

Elsewhere, Betty makes plans for Caleb's last day. Out in the country, Betty chats with Caleb as he eats ice cream and talks about what Matthew told him to do the day before. Betty's furious and makes her way back to Wisteria Lane to set the record straight with her other son.
