S03E17: 'The Journey'

The Cohens prepare a party to celebrate a reluctant Ryan's eighteenth birthday. As Seth appoints himself chief organiser, Ryan - newly split from Marissa - faces a dilemma over whether to invite her along and make another go of it. Things aren't helped by his growing closeness to Sadie, however...

After making it clear how she stands on her father's relationship with Julie, Summer finally decides that as long as her dad is happy, she is too. In the process she inadvertently stumbles across a suprise cruise invite and passes it on to an excited Julie. But was the surprise intended for Julie?

Meanwhile, Sandy tracks down Ryan's mother Dawn with a view to inviting her to the party. Unfortunately, she's in prison - but after pulling a few strings, Sandy manages to get her out. Dawn still feels guilty about her treatment of Ryan, but will she accept the invite to the party?

Marissa is still feeling torn up over her breakup from Ryan but is becoming closer and closer to Volchok in the process. After returning to the house Ryan once used as a hideout until it burnt down, she faints and takes a tumble down the stairs.
