A year to the day since the programme's move from Rochdale was announced, the BBC One drama aired its first episode to be filmed and set in Scotland.

With a number of popular faces sticking with Waterloo Road and the new school's interior appearing similar to the last one, the show won't have been totally unfamiliar for long-term viewers - but with several new characters and a new location, there were also lots of changes to get used to.
While episode one focused mainly on troubled Jade and Drew, there were hints of what's to come over the rest of the series including English teacher Christine's strained relationship with son Connor, trouble for Scout at the schoolhouse, a feud with rival school Havelock High and Tariq's struggle to come to terms with his disability.
But was the new-look Waterloo Road a triumph or a turn-off? Will you be tuning in again? Give episode one a rating out of 5 in our poll below, and leave your comments in the usual space at the bottom of the page!
