S01E08: It's the day of reckoning
It is the final day of reckoning for Waterloo Road as they await the decision of the LEA – will they close the school? Tensions are running very high.

Chlo is terrified – she’s due in court today. Izzie tells Chlo to tell the truth on the stand, however terrifying – but will she be brave enough? Also scared is Donte. He is very aware that both his and Chlo’s future teeters on a knife edge. The jury have the power to put one or both of them behind bars for a very long time…

Meanwhile, Kim is severely traumatised after the incident with bully Lewis. She finds the strength to talk about the incident in front of the committee, but loses patience when the panel seem to be favouring Lewis’s story. Will this thug escape the punishment he deserves? Jack makes his feelings very clear and this angers Lewis. Will Jack’s vehemence come back to haunt him?

Kim has doubts as to whether she can continue teaching, but Andrew is determined not to let her leave Waterloo Road and does his utmost to persuade her to come back. He insists that he’s concerned about the loss to the teaching profession… but could his own feelings for Kim be playing a part? And will his heartfelt pleas make any difference to Kim?

Jack Rimmer is furious and wants Lewis expelled, but the committee don’t agree. So Jack takes matters into his own hands and sends letters home with the kids hoping to rally the parents in support of Kim – but will he get the response he wants?

It’s icy in the staffroom between Lorna and Izzie, after Lorna found Tom and Izzie together last week. Lorna puts a tough face on it, but beneath her cool exterior she is utterly devastated by the betrayal and feels her life has lost all meaning. After a lot of soul searching, she writes letters to Tom and Izzie saying she forgives them - but could the letters be hiding the true extent of Lorna’s anguish?
