Natalie Buxton is interested to hear Janine has a trip out planned and blackmails her into smuggling drugs back into Larkhall. Janine doesn’t want to be involved but when Natalie brutally threatens her, it leaves her with no choice.
Meanwhile, Phyl is laid up in hospital recovering from a bullet wound and is determined not to go back to G-Wing in a hurry. She plays up the trauma of the accident to the dashing Dr Rowan Dunlop in an attempt to get some extra recovery time but her talented acting does little to persuade this qualified psychiatrist – he knows what her game is. But Phyl is a wily lady and when she discovers Dr Rowan Dunlop’s secret she resorts to blackmail and soon has Rowan eating out of her hand.
Governor Joy Masterton’s patience with her Wing Governor Lou is wearing thin – she is continuously turning up for work worse for wear. Yet after a dinner together Joy begins to understand why Lou is so tired, when she secretly follows her to the entrance of a seedy strip club. What is Lou up to?
Meanwhile Pat Kerrigan suspects Natalie has bullied Janine into being a drugs mule; she’s livid and plans to teach Natalie a lesson.
Lou and Officer Donny Kimber accompany Janine to the funeral and are met with a frosty reception from Janine’s father. But things seem to warm up when Janine delivers a heartfelt and moving speech – perhaps it is time for her father to forgive her? But before Janine has a chance to set things right with her family, she makes a clumsy mistake which could ruin those chances forever.
Meanwhile Donny is under pressure from the police – if he is going to be their secret liaison officer working on the inside of Larkhall, he had better find out sharpish where Emira’s husband is hiding, or he will lose his position.

Brilliant though I felt so sorry for Janine. Natalie is a bitch!! and i think pat rules the roost. Series 8 is getting better than better even though lots of old characters have left. Can't wait for next weeks episode. Also Phyl and Bev are a laugh to watch. Janine is the best of them all.
