By Kris Green | Wing Governor Sylvia Hollamby has never really enjoyed Christmas, and this one is no better. With overflowing drains on the G Wing and a decomposed hand appearing from a toilet, it looks like something sinister is at work. But Sylvia is a stout old boot and carries on as normal, until ex-inmate Natalie Buxton appears to her in a dream and takes on a very strange journey.
It is the night before Christmas and Sylvia is at home preparing for a visit from her son, Bobby Darren. But when he visits to tell her he will be bringing his new partner, a vicious argument ensues, resulting in Sylvia damaging what fragile relationship they ever had.
Meanwhile on G Wing the mood is flat and there is a strong smell of drains permeating the landings. Christmas is going to be terrible with that stink in the air; something very bad must be lurking beneath.
But Bodybag soon halts any Christmas excitement there was on the wing when she announces that due to being short staffed, Christmas on G Wing is cancelled and they are all on lock down.
Tonight is the Prison Officer’s Ball and PO Mandy Goodhue is hit with a blow when her partner Sandy unexpectedly walks out of her life, leaving her distraught and without a date. Donny Kimber offers to go instead, but Mandy wants a female date, in order to make Sandy jealous. Poor Mandy gets a further slap in the face when she naively asks Sylvia to accompany her.
Locked up and eight months pregnant Janine unexpectedly goes into labour. Without a doctor on hand Bev steps in as a make-do midwife. But the labour is difficult and without medical help, Janine and her tiny tot may not make it.
Almost there! Your clue word can be found in Dean's Big Brother 6 column. The stink is getting worse and when the Larkhall sewers suddenly spill over through a loo into a cell, the two Julies work out the cause – Natalie Buxton’s body must be causing a blockage. With Pat locked up in isolation it looks like they’ll have to fix it, before a plumber is called.
It’s been a tough day on G Wing but matters get a whole lot worse for Sylvia when the ghost of Natalie Buxton pays her a visit – she’s got some things to show this bitter old screw.
