Glamorous and stylish Angel Samson and her ruggedly handsome husband Max Samson have taken over the running of Crossroads. They are busy making last-minute preparations for a lavish 23rd birthday party for their twin sons Ryan and Jimmy.
Despite his devotion to Angel, Max sneaks off to meet his mistress Jenny Roberts in one of the bedrooms. But when she declares her love for him they fight – with devastating consequences which lead to Jenny’s death.
Charming and confident Ryan flirts with a woman, Suzie, as he travels to his party by train, and they are soon enjoying a sizzling encounter in an empty toilet cubicle.
Streetwise and sassy teens Belle and Lola Wise are on a mission to gatecrash the party and pretend to be a girl band.
Meanwhile Angel finds a half-dressed Max – and Jenny’s lifeless body – and Jimmy turns up late at the party with his new wife Suzie, much to Ryan’s horror.
