Charlotte gets engaged to Pete – then sleeps with Johnny again! Matt seems equally confused, moving back in with Karen, then requesting a divorce – just as Kelly returns to make another play for his missus! Geri’s pregnancy puts the cat amongst the pigeons; Lucy leaves Charnham; and Yasmin gets burgled.

It looks like Pete’s met his match in Charlotte: she’s been keeping him on his toes since day one. As the week begins, he’s uncertain as to whether he should accept her marriage proposal, but after Siobhan counsels him not to turn down this chance of happiness, he accepts. But Johnny’s not giving up that easily: he taunts Charlotte that it’s him she really wants, and they sleep together for the second time that week! Not too hot on making a commitment then, Charlotte? A shocked Lucy finds the pair in bed together – after she had warned Johnny to leave her sister alone – then does a runner, after the scary Johnny offers her money to leave.

Matt’s having an even worse time than Pete. Nikki persuades Charnham’s one decent man to move back with Karen, for baby Grace’s sake… but he then tells Karen he’s petitioning for divorce! Not that you can blame him after being played for a mug. Karen then rings Kelly, who is on her travels, and begs her to return to Charnham – which she does, to be told by Karen that she should apply for joint custody of Grace. A suspicious Kelly says she feels as if Karen is using her to get custody of Grace, but an upset Karen reiterates her commitment.

Geri’s pregnancy looks like it may cause as much trouble as Kelly’s. Roy is worried that he might be the father, while Ginny flies off the handle, calling her a slut who is making up lies about Robert. Cat advises Charnham’s latest wild-child not to drop the rape charges against Robert, as Geri becomes increasingly distressed at the enormity of the situation. The boozy Ms Webb takes Geri out for a head-to-head at the pub… and, inevitably, gets her blind drunk. Nice to see you haven’t lost your touch, Cat!

Elsewhere, Ginny tells Jude she may never be able to forgive Robert for cheating on her, before almost sharing a far-from-familial kiss with him; Cameron and Lucy sleep together; Cat and Jim reconcile on Jim’s birthday; Charlotte admits to Lucy that she had an affair with Lucy’s ex Johnny before her younger sister left home; Pete introduces Johnny to his contacts as they prepare their counterfeiting scam; and Yasmin disturbs burglars in the shop.
