Rachel and Roy get cosy

As the wedding approaches, Paul’s suspicions grow about his unfaithful fiancée. Jude leaves town after lying to Robert that he and Ginny only shared a kiss. Pete fails to trap Charlotte into confessing to sleeping with Johnny. Gemma admits her infidelity to Becky – but will her friend help keep her secret?

Poor Paul: the odds against a strife-free wedding are lengthening, as his bride-to-be Gemma continues to sleep with Cameron. Paul’s devotion, and the vows they are about to take, are making her increasingly uncomfortable. The pair do a compatibility test in a magazine, and it confirms what viewers already know: they are not well suited. But has Gemma the guts to call the whole thing off before she makes a terrible mistake?

Her fellow betrayer, Cameron, has yet to write his best man’s speech (that should be quite something!), and when he doesn’t turn up at the rehearsal, it’s obvious he’s less than keen to see his bedmate married off to someone else. And maybe he won’t have to: when the ’happy couple’ have a blazing row, Gemma threatens to stand him up at the altar. Now even Paul – the man who makes Matt look like Mr Observant – has sussed that something’s not right. At his less-than-carefree stag night, the bitter Matt warns him that women aren’t to be trusted, and while drunkenly mulling this one over on the café roof, Paul falls off! Luckily, he’s not badly hurt… but he will be when news of Gemma’s infidelity gets out.

Becky tests her suspicions by bluffing to Cameron that she knows he’s been sleeping with Gemma – and is stunned when he confirms her fears, before begging her not to tell anyone. Will Becky do the right thing and ignore his selfish pleas?

The wedding is causing friction for others too. A furious Fern plans to attend with Dougie, and makes Paul uninvite her estranged hubby Vince. And Kelly is just as angry when Karen seems reluctant to come out as a couple, at Gemma’s hen night. In fact, love wars are breaking out all over Charnham. Pete tests Charlotte by placing Lucy’s letter about her infidelity back in the post for her to find, but still his fiancée denies she slept with Johnny. And Robert’s suspicions are raised by Jude and Ginny’s suspicious behaviour. Jude doesn’t let on that he slept with his brother-in-law’s wife, but admits they kissed – and leaves town in an attempt to sort his head out.

Elsewhere, Claire makes Yasmin an offer on Siobhan’s flat, and starts a petiton against the new youth community house; and Roy makes a pass at Rachel and is rejected. Get the Inside Soap magazine on your iPhone or iPad
