'Footballers' Wives' stars fly to LA

Two stars from ITV's glitzy football drama Footballers' Wives have been flown out to LA to support publicity for the show in America.

Series three is just about to get underway in the US and BBC America have requested that Zoe Lucker and Laila Rouass - who play super-bitch Tanya Turner and glamourous Amber Gates respectively - attend interviews and various other appearances to boost the show's growing success.

An insider at production company Shed told DS: "The show's going down a storm over there. Zoe and Laila were more than happy to go."

Bad Girls, another of Shed's hit shows, is also premiering in America this year but as yet, no Larkhall actors have been sent across.

The insider added: "All the actors are banged up at the moment ready for filming to start in February."
