Corrie's 'Rosie' pleased with male attention

Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan has revealed that she is thrilled with her new sex symbol status.

The actress, who plays Rosie Webster on the ITV1 soap, admitted that she had always longed to follow in the footsteps of her former co-stars Tina O'Brien (Sarah Platt) and Nikki Sanderson (Candice Stowe).

"I am flattered," Helen told the Daily Star. "Growing up, I always looked at the likes of Tina O'Brien and Nikki Sanderson and wished I could be as sexy as they were. I would look at the photoshoots they did and think how amazing they looked. So now I am older it's great to be considered the same as them, though I don't believe it."

Flanagan has been linked to footballer Micah Richards and Waterloo Road star Adam Thomas this year, but she is currently single. The 17-year-old has now claimed that her next boyfriend could be an ordinary Corrie fan.

"I will happily date guys who aren't famous," she confirmed. "I want someone who is funny, seriously hot and who will treat me like a complete princess! I don't think that's too much to ask, do you? I reckon that's what most girls are after, anyway."
