Corrie to re-shoot scenes over T-shirt

The cast of Coronation Street found themselves re-shooting old scenes this week after Jack P. Shepherd was found to be wearing an offensive T-shirt.

The 20-year-old, who plays David Platt in the Manchester-based soap, had already filmed various scenes wearing the offending item of clothing - which was adorned with the words 'Schwetty Nuts' - before the show's compliance department noticed it.

Scenes which had to be re-shot included David in Jerry's (Michael Starke) kebab shop and in his gran Audrey's (Sue Nicholls) hair salon.

A Corrie spokesman told The Sun: "Jack's T-shirt was picked up by compliance before we went on air. We had to reschedule a few scenes."

Earlier this month, it was announced that Shepherd and his girlfriend Lauren Shippey are expecting their first child.
