Marsh would "hate" Corrie wedding plot

Kym Marsh has admitted that she does not want her Coronation Street character to get married.

The actress claimed that the chemistry between on-off lovers Michelle Connor and Steve McDonald would be ruined if they ever tied the knot.

"For the characters that would be lovely but for me, as an actress, I would hate for them to get married," Marsh told Hot TV magazine. "They wouldn't be happy for long and I love playing the ups and downs of their relationship. It gives us the drama and the comedy."

Marsh recently started dating Hollyoaks actor Jamie Lomas (Warren Fox) following the breakdown of her six-year marriage to Jack Ryder.

Earlier this week, Marsh confirmed that she intends to stick with Coronation Street for years to come - as she cannot imagine getting bored of her role.
