Kat Kelly's sister to join Corrie?

Katherine Kelly's sister could be joining the cast of Coronation Street as a long-lost relative of Becky Granger.

Nineteen-year-old Grace Kelly, who apparently bears an "uncanny" resemblance to her older sister, impressed producers so much in her recent audition for a minor role that they are keen to write her into the show as one of barmaid Becky's close relations.

An insider told The Sun: "Grace came to audition for a small role and blew bosses away. She's as quirky as Katherine and she's a cracking little actress.

"However, they couldn't give her the part because she looks too much like Katherine. It's uncanny. It's been agreed that if she joins the cast, she's going to have to play one of Becky's relatives - maybe even her sister."

They added: "Sisters playing sisters would be a Corrie first."

Yesterday, it was reported that Katherine has signed a new contract with Corrie which secures her commitment to the show "until at least 2011".
