The actress, who plays Michelle Connor on the ITV1 soap, was said to be hoping for a fresh start in the US following the tragedy.
However, asked if she had reassessed her career in an interview with We Love Telly! magazine, Marsh replied: "To be honest, I'm taking each day as it comes. That's about all you can do.
"But everybody has been so supportive and that's really helpful. And I'm keeping busy."
Marsh's character will be seen growing close to Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) in next week's Coronation Street episodes.
She added: "They had the Peter story ready and waiting for me."
The star was granted a "quickie" divorce from Jack Ryder at the High Court last week.
