This is the jaw-dropping moment that art dealer Tara Mandal exacts her cruel and publicly humiliating revenge on her promiscuous partner Dev Alahan.
Having given Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) countless opportunities to come clean about his one-night stand with former Mandal family accountant Lisa (Ruth Alexander-Rubin), Tara (Ayesha Dharker) resolves to get her own back by unveiling a 30-foot naked portrait of him down the side of the Victoria Court apartments - with only the word 'liar' covering his manhood.
However, just seconds before the red cloth begins unfurling down the side of the building, Dev shocks Tara by dropping on bended knee and proposing.
Completely distraught by Tara's actions, Dev drags her back to his flat and demands an explanation, but refusing to listen, she grabs her belongings and walks out of Weatherfield for good.
Speaking to DS, Ayesha Dharker said: "I don't think it dawns on her what a hugely damaging thing it is that she's doing until it's too late…It's absolutely heartbreaking."
These scenes air tonight at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV1.
