Le Vell, Binns 'filmed two romp scenes'
Coronation Street actor Michael Le Vell has revealed that he and fellow actor Vicky Binns filmed two romp scenes for the soap after it was thought that the original was "too raunchy" for pre-watershed viewing.

Le Vell and Binns - who play mechanic Kevin Webster and shop worker Molly Dobbs in the ITV series - are about to embark on a surreptitious screen affair as their characters' lustful intentions towards each other reach boiling point.

Last night's episode saw the pair kiss for the first time on a bench following a run through the park as part of their training regime.

Next week, however, they consummate their promiscuous relationship by sleeping together on the day of Kevin's wife Sally's (Sally Whittaker) birthday. Kevin slips away from the celebrations for a party of his own with Molly on the settee at her marital home, which she owns with husband Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall).

Speaking of Kevin and Molly's dishonest act, Le Vell told DS: "That's officially the start of their affair. We actually filmed two versions of that scene. We filmed one on the stairs and one on the settee. The one on the stairs could be a little too raunchy for 7.30pm at night! I don't know which one they're going to use yet, though."
