Corrie's Sophie and Sian ponder lesbian plot

Earlier this year, it was rumoured that Coronation Street bosses had lined up Sophie Webster (Brooke Vincent) as their first lesbian character.

The reports claimed that church-goer Sophie would embark on an affair with her best friend Sian Powers (Sacha Parkinson), but the suggestion was dubbed a mere "possibility".

We caught up with the pair at the launch of the Inside Soap Awards in Manchester earlier this week to see what they had to say about the potential storyline.
