Coronation Street star Kym Marsh has put her home on the market because she wants to be nearer to the show's set, according to a report.

The 33-year-old actress, who plays Michelle Connor on the ITV1 soap, has lived in a five-bedroom property in Norton Village, Cheshire, for the past two years. It is now believed to be on sale for £390,000.

A source told The People: "It's a perfect family home but quite a way from Manchester."

Marsh and her partner Jamie Lomas are now said to be searching for a new house in Worsley, which would bring the couple closer to Coronation Street's Manchester studios.

The mother-of-two has always insisted that she wants a long-term future with the programme.

Speaking last year, she commented: "There's no way I would get fed up. I'm supposed to be acting and I'm really enjoying that."
