New man for 'Coronation Street's Michelle

Coronation Street's Michelle Connor will have a new man in her life within a few months, according to actress Kym Marsh.

Casting is currently underway for the 33-year-old's new love interest, who will appear on screen towards the end of the year.

Marsh, who has played unlucky-in-love singer Michelle for almost three years, told the Daily Star: "I'm so excited that Michelle is going to get a new man. They are going to cast someone new because, come on, there aren't exactly many eligible men left on the Street for her to seduce!

She added: "I don't know what kind of man they have in mind but I really hope he's fit! Michelle hasn't had the best luck so I would love to see a really attractive, loyal man on her arm."

Marsh is currently dating former Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas, who played Warren Fox in the Channel 4 soap.

She joined the show in July 2006 along with her screen son Ryan (Ben Thompson) and her now-dead screen brothers Paul (Sean Gallagher) and Liam (Rob-James Collier).
