Corrie star found ghosthunt pointless
Former Coronation Street star Wendi Peters has admitted that she was disappointed by her TV ghosthunting experience.

Peters, who played manipulative Cilla Battersby-Brown on the ITV1 soap, teamed up with Tupele Dorgu (Kelly Crabtree), Jack P. Shepherd (David Platt), Katherine Kelly (Becky McDonald) and Kym Marsh (Michelle Connor) for an ITV2 paranormal special last year.

The show saw the Weatherfield favourites investigating three spooky locations on the Isle Of Man, including a theatre where Marsh was reduced to tears.

However, speaking to Celebs On Sunday, Peters commented: "If you watched [Ghosthunting With Coronation Street], sorry, because it's an hour of your life you'll never get back. It was the dampest weekend in the Isle Of Man, and nothing convinced me there was anything out there."

She added: "There were points when I was scared, but if you put me in a watermill and lock the door I'm going to be scared whether there are ghosts there or not. There was the odd tap here and there, things were being thrown about, and I got hit in the back of the head, but I was just like, 'Whatever that was, it's not funny anymore'."

Peters was last seen in the role of Cilla for a Coronation Street DVD special set in Africa last year.
