The 43-year-old actress will reprise her role as Sunita Alahan in October following a three-year break from the cobbles.
In a new interview with Closer, Gulati has admitted that being reunited with her former screen husband Jimmy Harkishin (Dev) will be her personal highlight when she makes the comeback.
She commented: "He's my favourite - I can't wait to be back with him."
Though she wouldn't be drawn on what storylines are in store for Sunita, Gulati hinted that her old flaws may still get her into trouble.
"Sunita's a sweet girl to play, but she does make bad decisions," she confirmed.
Gulati's return is expected to form part of a "new direction" for Harkishin's womanising character.
