Bisson not expecting Corrie 50th return

The 34-year-old actor, who starred as Weatherfield's Vikram Desai from 1999 to 2002, recently signed up to play Dales newcomer Jai Sharma and will make his debut in the role this week.
Speaking to DS, Bisson revealed: "There were conversations about returning to Corrie but it would have been going over old ground, Emmerdale was a much newer and fresher challenge."
Though no official casting announcements have been made for Coronation Street's landmark birthday next year, fans have speculated that the occasion could see a number of comebacks from former cast members.
On his own chances of a temporary return, Bisson commented: "I have no idea - that would be a decision for the network centre.
"If ITV wanted me to be back in Corrie for the 50th, I doubt that would happen because then I would be in two shows at the same time and they need to be mutually exclusive. People might get confused!"
In July, Suranne Jones was tipped to reprise her role as Karen McDonald when the show turns 50.
