In Pictures: Corrie's saucy deleted Rosie scene
Published Friday, Sep 25 2009, 00:02 BST | By Kris Green
A saucy deleted scene featuring a scantily-clad Rosie Webster had to be shelved from tonight's episode of the Weatherfield soap to prevent the show from overrunning.
After Luke Strong (Craig Kelly) dumped her for Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh), the wannabe fashion designer - played by 19-year-old Helen Flanagan - turns up unexpectedly at Tina (Michelle Keegan) and Jason's (Ryan Thomas) flat-warming party.
There, she walks in on Luke and Michelle kissing, triggering a full-on catfight which spills out onto the cobbles, where Rosie finds herself in the gutter.
Fuming by the humiliation, the final scene of the episode should have seen an inebriated Rosie hurl insults to Luke and Michelle as they canoodle on Luke's flat balcony, before slipping off her raincoat to reveal that she's wearing nothing but a basque, stockings and suspenders.
The risqué scene, however, had to be cut due to time constraints.
Despite the producers' decision to axe the scene, the show's official website will host the clip from 9pm tonight.
Flanagan said: "Rosie's outrageous and such a madam and I love playing her. I get to do things that I would never dare do. I'm delighted that the website are showing this scene as I had such fun playing it."
