O'Brien: 'Corrie kisses don't bother me'

Tina O'Brien has insisted that she does not get annoyed when she watches her partner Ryan Thomas's romantic scenes in Coronation Street.

Thomas's character Jason Grimshaw is currently in a relationship with shop assistant Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan) on the ITV1 soap.

O'Brien found love with the actor during her own stint on the Weatherfield show. She has since left her role as Sarah Platt and is currently focusing on life as a stay-at-home mum after welcoming baby girl Scarlett with Thomas last year.

Discussing her boyfriend's screen romance, O'Brien told PA: "I definitely don't get jealous if they're kissing - that doesn't really bother me at all - it's not the nicest thing in the world but I'm certainly not jealous about it."

She continued: "Sometimes when he says something to her that he'll say to me for real it's a bit odd. At the end of the day [Michelle's] a really lovely girl. They're doing a job. What are they supposed to do?

"I've met her a few times and got on with her really well. She seems lovely."

Rumours that O'Brien would return to Coronation Street in the near future were recently denied by the programme's bosses.
