POTD: Tony appears in court in Corrie
Published Friday, Nov 27 2009, 12:35 GMT | By Kris Green
Having been officially charged with the murder of Liam Connor and attempted murder of Roy Cropper (David Neilson), Weatherfield's former knicker boss Tony Gordon (Gray O'Brien) appears before a magistrate to have his case referred to the Crown Court.
With Michelle (Kym Marsh), Ryan (Ben Thompson) and Carla (Alison King) watching on, Tony is told that he is to be remanded in custody until Monday, January 4.
Things take a turn for the worse in the courtroom, though, when Michelle notices Tony smiling. With that, she lunges towards the dock, exclaims "murderer" and spits at the protective glass screen.

Coronation Street airs tonight at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV1.
