In Pictures: 'Coronation Street's panto cast
Published Tuesday, Dec 22 2009, 15:00 GMT | By Kris Green
After a fortnight's rehearsals, the residents of Coronation Street take to the stage in The Rovers and perform the pub panto Cinderella for the other locals.
Claire (Julia Haworth) takes the leading role as Cinderella opposite Steve (Simon Gregson), who appears as her Prince Charming. Initially frustrated that she didn't bag the titular part, Becky (Katherine Kelly) settles for playing Dandini, while Lloyd (Craig Charles) and Jesse (John Thomson) drag up for their roles as the Ugly Sisters.
Meanwhile, Betty (Betty Driver) adds some sparkle as the Fairy Godmother and Graeme (Craig Gazey) portrays Buttons.
Their performance goes swimmingly until the last minute when Amy (Amber Chadwick) blurts out a choice word from Becky's vocabulary.
Coronation Street's panto airs on Thursday, December 24 at 8.30pm.
