The 33-year-old actress, who plays Rovers barmaid Michelle Connor, suggested that Kennedy's character Curly Watts would easily fit back into the show's storylines.
Marsh told PA: "I'd love to see Curly back, that would be good and I love Kev Kennedy. He was a great character and [it would be] really nice to see him back.
"I have no idea how he'd fit in but I'm sure he would - he was that kind of character."
Last month, Kennedy announced that he was in talks to reprise his role as Curly for the ITV1 drama's forthcoming 50th anniversary. However, a representative for the programme later insisted that it was too early to finalise any plans for the occasion.
Weatherfield favourite Curly was written out of Coronation Street in 2003 after 20 years in the show.
