In Pictures: Michelle and Carla's catfight
Published Thursday, Dec 17 2009, 00:02 GMT | By Kris Green
This is the dramatic moment that Coronation Street's Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh) sees red with her sister-in-law Carla Gordon (Alison King) and drags her into the Street by her hair.
Michelle's suspicions over Carla finally reach boiling point during tonight's episode and when she eventually cajoles a confession from Carla that she knew about her husband Tony's (Gray O'Brien) involvement in Liam's death, she flies into a blind rage.
As Michelle's restrained by Julie (Katy Cavanagh) and Hayley (Julie Hesmondhalgh), the factory girls are stunned to learn the shocking truth about Carla's deceit. One by one, the girls walks away, leaving Carla a solitary figure on the cobbles. With that, she breaks down in tears.
Marsh said of the scenes: "We both went for it. You have to if you want to make it look real. We were knackered afterwards and we could hardly walk the next day. We were black and blue and we both had a few bruises.
"It's a good job we actually get on because we caught each other for real a few times in the scene. I've been told it looks good, though, so hopefully it was worth it."
King added: "It was brilliant. We both got stuck in and ended up with a few bruises. I kept trying to make her pull my hair harder so it looked real. It's not easy fighting on the cobbles in heels, though!"

Coronation Street airs tonight at 8.30pm on ITV1.
