Flanagan: 'I had a huge Fleeshman crush'

Helen Flanagan has admitted that she had a "huge" crush on Richard Fleeshman when they worked together on Coronation Street.

The pair had a number of romantic scenes together on the ITV1 soap as Fleeshman's Weatherfield character Craig Harris was the boyfriend of Flanagan's alter ego Rosie Webster.

Speaking to Star magazine, Flanagan confessed: "Oh, I don't mind saying - when I was younger, I had to work with Richard Fleeshman, who played my boyfriend on the show, and I had a massive crush on him. Huge!

"He's so nice and so beautiful, and I had this huge, painful crush on him. I think all the girls did though because he is so, so charming and stuff."

The actress also said that she finds it "a joy" to play the role of Rosie, but would not like to be compared to her in real life.

Flanagan explained: "She's really bitchy and I don't get that at all. And she's a maneater, and I'm not like that either."
