Corrie's Jason excited over family scenes

Coronation Street star Ryan Thomas has revealed that he will soon be filming more scenes with his screen mother Sue Cleaver.

The actor's character Jason Grimshaw has recently been sharing most of his screen time with girlfriend Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan) as she grieves following the death of dad Joe.

However, in a new interview, Thomas confirmed that fans can expect to see more interaction between Jason and mum Eileen in the months ahead.

He told Holy Soap: "What's important for Corrie is that you don't forget I'm a family member and I'm part of the Grimshaws because I've been away from them doing a lot with Michelle.

"It's going to be nice to get back in with them. There may be a few arguments but that's good for the Grimshaws because Eileen will always give you that comedy storyline but with a dramatic side too."

Of Tina's plotline, Thomas commented: "It's been emotional for Michelle, it's been emotional for all of us involved in it but especially for Michelle, it's been hard-going but she's been fantastic."

Keegan recently revealed that Tina is to get a new love interest this year.
