The veteran actress, who has often spoken about how she is a fan of the soap, confessed that she would sign up if producers offered her a suitable role.
Speaking to The Sun about her ambition, Walters commented: "It depends on the part but I'd love a little something in Corrie. Someone once asked if it was true I was going to play Audrey's sister and I thought, 'What a good idea', but nothing came of that."
She continued: "I'm a big soap fan. I'm addicted - I had to give [them] up for lent."
On Sunday, the 60-year-old received a BAFTA for her performance as Mo Mowlam in a recent Channel 4 drama.
