Quin-Ankrah joined the Weatherfield soap earlier this year in the role of Cheryl Gray, a new love interest for Charles's character Lloyd Mullaney. Former Casualty actor Thorp, meanwhile, has been cast as Cheryl's abusive husband Chris.
Speaking to Inside Soap about his colleagues, Charles commented: "Holly is a real joy to work with - I love her naturalistic style of acting. On top of that, she always knows her lines, she's on time and she's great fun to be with, too.
"Will couldn't be more unlike his horrible character. He's a real softie, actually. After being in Casualty for years, he knows the score with working on a soap. It's a frantic pace and you have to be up to speed. Will is always on top of that. He's a lovely lad and a good actor."
Charles recently described Lloyd's new storyline involving Cheryl and Chris as a "challenge". Meanwhile, Quin-Ankrah has promised that there are many twists ahead for the trio.
