Corrie's Becky reveals half-sister plot

Coronation Street newcomer Paula Lane has revealed that her alter ego will come to blows with half-sister Becky (Kat Kelly) upon her arrival.

Lane's Kylie dashes Becky's hopes of adopting a child after giving her a bad reference. When the pair come face to face, hell will break loose in the Rovers Return.

Lane, who was cast in June, told New: "I've still got the bruises! Kate really gives it some, and when we shot the scene where we fight, she just said, 'Let's go for it!' So we did."

She added: "She's a very messed up girl. She was dragged up by an alcoholic mother, so she's had to fight for survival. When she first comes onto the show, she and Becky have a proper fight."
