Coronation Street's Brooke Vincent and Sacha Parkinson have revealed that their ex-boyfriends did not mind their on-screen kisses.

The pair, who play Sophie Webster and Sian Powers, told fans during a webchat that their respective former partners had not found it difficult to watch the scenes - which included the ITV's soaps first lesbian kiss.

"I've not got a boyfriend now," Vincent said. "But when I did he was quite happy that I was kissing a girl and not a guy."

Parkinson said that her ex-boyfriend Ben Mercer had not liked Sian's former relationship with Ryan Connor (Ben Thompson).

"My ex found [on-screen kisses] funny because he knew Brooke as well," she said. "He couldn't watch the scenes between me and Ben, but he was fine with the ones between Brooke and I."

She went on to confess that she had grown used to filming the intimate scenes with Vincent.

"It's easier now. At first, I used to get dead nervous and hot and bothered but not anymore," she said.
