Corrie's Becky 'wants to buy child'

Coronation Street's Becky McDonald will reportedly become so desperate for a baby that she offers to buy her half-sister's son.

The Sun reports that Becky, played by Katherine Kelly, convinces husband Steve (Simon Gregson) to help raise £30,000 to pay for the child.

Viewers recently saw the pair left devastated when their application to adopt was turned down after receiving a bad reference from Becky's half-sister Kylie (Paula Lane).

In an hour-long episode this Sunday, Kylie is reunited with her son Max but snatches him from his foster parents' house. However Becky bonds with her nephew, prompting Kylie to make the dramatic offer.

The storyline will apparently air in a few weeks.
