The actress, who plays Anna Windass in the Weatherfield serial, told Bang Showbiz that she wanted "more brawls" for the family.
"I love the fact that Anna has so many different sides to her personality," she said. "She can be funny, but she can also be sad - and she'd certainly knock your head off if you crossed her!
"She lets me vent my anger! That's the good thing about being an actor - you get to do loads of stuff you just wouldn't be allowed to do in real life."
