In Pictures: Gary Windass loses control

Gary Windass's first day at work for Owen Armstrong gets off to the worst possible start in Coronation Street next week.

The scenes from next Thursday's visit to Weatherfield see Gary accidentally locked inside the van by Jason Grimshaw. Trapped, the soldier is reminded of tragic events he experienced in Afghanistan and begins to panic.

Family and friends remain in the dark about Gary's anguish, since the night of the tram crash triggered symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder.

Upon his release, a shaken Gary lashes out at Owen, who tries to explain that it was a simple accident. Jason attempts to restrain his troubled neighbour and is quickly aided by Eddie when he arrives on the scene. A furious Owen warns Gary to stay away from Izzy.
