Jack P Shepherd 'becomes father again'

A tabloid report has alleged that Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd has become a father for the second time.

Sammy Milewski, who reportedly had a one-night stand with the actor last year, gave birth to a son on Thursday.

The People reports that Shepherd - David Platt in the ITV1 soap - was on holiday with long-term girlfriend Lauren Shippey and their 23-month-old daughter Nyla when Milewski gave birth.

A source is quoted as saying: "Jack's finally having to lift his head out the sand and realise he's the father. Until now, he has just ignored the whole thing, like it wasn't ­really happening. But now he'll have to face up to his responsibilities.

"He timed a holiday with his family so he'd be out of the country when the baby was born. He's trying to get things back on track with Lauren while this is all going on. It's obvious to everyone that Jack wishes this had never happened.

"The only thing he can do now is get a DNA test and hand ­everything to a solicitor. He wants nothing to do with Sammy at all. If the kid is his he'll support it financially but that’s about it."

The newspaper cites Milewski admitting that it "does sadden" her to think that Shepherd could have nothing to do with his purported child.
