Marsh: 'Cardle should make Corrie cameo'

Kym Marsh has claimed that Matt Cardle should make a cameo appearance in Coronation Street.

The X Factor winner was recently quoted as saying that he would like to appear in the ITV soap, although he later dismissed the claims. However, Marsh - who plays Michelle Connor - wrote in her New! magazine column that Cardle should one day rethink his decision.

"After a story appeared saying that The X Factor winner Matt Cardle would love to make a cameo on Corrie, he tweeted saying that it wasn't true," she said. "I wonder why not.

"Matt is clearly a talented guy and, who knows, maybe one day he'll want to try his hand at acting. As a former painter and decorator, maybe Owen could give him a job at the builders!"

Marsh previously suggested that I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! star Shaun Ryder should join the show.
