Corrie menu contest winner announced

The winner of Coronation Street and This Morning's Rovers Return menu competition has been announced.

Judges including actor Ryan Thomas (Jason Grimshaw) crowned the victor on Monday morning after choosing from a shortlist of three finalists, who competed in a cook-off on the ITV morning show.

Marilyn Bersey's recipe, titled 'Mal's Corrie Cobbler', was named the winning dish and will be featured in an upcoming episode of the soap.

Carl Heer's ale, steak and stilton pie and Julia Kiss's special corned beef and potato pie missed out on the prize.
