Coronation Street's 50th anniversary week is to be given a DVD release.

The ITV soap celebrated the landmark birthday with a spectacular explosion and tram crash last month. An hour-long live episode was also broadcast during the week.

According to Play, a two-disc DVD featuring the collection of episodes and a host of behind-the-scenes extras will be released next month.

Extras listed include The Making of Anniversary week, The Filming of the tram crash and Ken Barlow - A Life On The Street.

Almost 14 million viewers watched as the tram crashed from the damaged viaduct onto the Street.

Coronation Street: Tram Crash will be released on February 21.
